Community Guidelines
Uni-Verse only works if people feel safe using it. That means a few rules apply to absolutely everyone — no exceptions for "it was a joke" or "I didn't mean it like that."
Be respectful
No harassment, hate speech, bullying or threats — towards anyone, for any reason, including race, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality or disability. This applies in Messages, on society posts, anywhere on Uni-Verse.
Keep it real
Don't impersonate someone else, a society, or a business. Don't use Uni-Verse for scams, spam, or to push something unrelated to Cardiff student life.
Flatmates and DMs are still real people
Arranging a room viewing or a chat with a society doesn't mean anything goes — the same respect rules apply to a private conversation as they do to a public post.
If something's wrong, tell us
Use the Report button on a conversation in Messages, or email [email protected]. You can Block someone straight away, any time, no need to wait for a report to be looked at first.
What happens next
Uni-Verse is still a small, pre-launch team — every report gets read by a real person, not ignored. Once real accounts are live, breaking these rules is grounds for a suspension.
